UFC on FOX 8 is expected to take place on July 27, 2013 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. The Fox televised event still does not have a main event.

The bout will mark the Octagon debut for Kedzie and De Randamie. It’s uncertain where this match might end up but it will certainly be on television as part of the Fox main card or the FX prelims.

Kedzie, the Invicta FC color commentator, will look to end a two-fight losing skid after dropping both of her past two matches under the Strikeforce banner. ‘Fireball’ suffered a submission loss to former champ Miesha Tate last August in the third round of their match in San Diego. The other defeat was to Alexis Davis by decision in July 2011. Kedzie’s last win came in April 2011 by decision for the Jackson’s MMA Series women’s bantamweight title.

De Randamie is a former world kickboxing champion who has turned her focus to mixed martial arts in the past few years. ‘The Iron Lady’ also competed on the same August card as Kedzie, but unlike her opponent picked up a win by decision over Hiroko Yamanaka. De Randamie fought three times for Strikeforce which also includes a loss to Julie Budd at 145-lbs by decision and a knockout win over Stephanie Webber in January 2011.
