The Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on September 21, 2013 with UFC 165.
The promotion announced the news during Tuesday night’s ‘UFC Tonight’ program on Fuel TV.
No matches have been identified for the Canadian event but it is certain to host a number of Canadian fighters on the card.
The promotion was last in Toronto one year ago for UFC 152 on September 22 which saw UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones defend his title against Vitor Belfort.
The first visit by the UFC to Toronto was the promotions first ever stadium event with UFC 129 at the Rogers Centre. The event drew an attendance of 55,724 while return trips to the city at the Air Canada Centre drew attendances of 18,303 for UFC 140 and 16,800 for UFC 152.
This event marks the UFC’s third visit to a Canadian city in 2013 with one trip to Montreal with UFC 158 and the promotionsfirst foray into Winnipeg, Manitoba with UFC 161.
