A featherweight battle between Rani Yahya and Josh Clopton, along with a women’s bantamweight fight between Amanda Nunes and Sheila Gaff, have been slated for the UFC 163 fight card on Aug. 3 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, according to UFC officials.
Yahya (18-7) has won three of his past four fights in his return to featherweight, while Clopton (6-1) will look to bounce back after losing his UFC debut via unanimous decision against Steven Siler at the TUF 14 Finale last December.
Gaff (10-5-1) also suffered a loss in her UFC debut when she was knocked out in the first round by Sara McMann at UFC 159. Nunes (7-3) will be making her UFC debut at the event. She has lost two of her past three Invicta FC fights.
UFC 163 is headlined by Jose Aldo defending his UFC featherweight title against Anthony Pettis.
