A bantamweight bout between Chico ‘King’ Camus (12-4) and ‘Typhoon’ Kyung Ho Kang (11-6) appears to be set for the upcoming UFC 164 event in August.
The bout was identified by MMAjunkie.com on Wednesday night and has yet to be confirmed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
UFC 164: Henderson vs. Grant is expected to take place on August 31, 2013 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event will see lightweight champ Benson Henderson defend his title versus Canadian fighter TJ Grant.
Camus has gone 1-1 so far inside the Octagon having lost to newcomer Dustin Kimura last Feburary by submission at UFC 156. ‘King’ won his debut by decision after defeating Dustin Pague at UFC 150. That win was his fourth straight victory.
Kang debuted with the UFC last March at the UFC on FUEL TV 8 event versus Alex Caceres. ‘Typhoon’ lost by split decision but the result was changed to a “No Contest” after Caceres tested positive for marijuana. Prior to that match the South Korean fighter had earned three straight victories.
