Costa Philippou finally has gotten his fight.
Philippou, who hasn’t fought in the Octagon since UFC 155 at the end of last year, will face Francis Carmont in a middleweight showdown at UFC 165, according to UFC officials on Tuesday.
Philippou has won his past five fights, including a third-round TKO of Tim Boetsch this past December. Carmont has won his past 10 fights, including a unanimous decision win over Lorenz Larkin at UFC on FOX 7 this past April.
UFC 165 will be held Sept. 21 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Jon Jones will defend his UFC light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustaffson in the main event.
