Conor McGregor will be sidelined approximately 10 months after suffering a serious knee injury in a victory at UFC Fight Night 26 this past Saturday night.
According to UFC president Dana White on FOX Sports Live on Thursday night, McGregor suffered a complete ACL tear, a MCL strain, and a posterior horn meniscal tear.
In an interview with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani after the fight, McGregor says he felt a “big pop” in his left knee during his unanimous decision win over Max Holloway.
McGregor’s coach recently told Helwani on UFC Tonight that they wanted to face Diego Brandao at UFC 168, but now those plans are on hold. McGregor is 2-0 in the UFC and 14-2 in his career.
