Vitor Miranda will have to cut weight for his next bout under the UFC banner.
The Team Nogueira fighter, who came up short against Antonio Carlos Junior at The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 heavyweight final in May, will cut down to 185 pounds for his clash against RFA middleweight champion Jake Collier at UFC Fight Night 58 on Dec. 20 in Brazil.
MMAFighting.com confirmed the match-up with sources close to the situation following a report from MMA Junkie.
Miranda (9-4) entered the UFC reality show after winning four straight in Brazil, with two submissions and two knockouts. Miranda made it to the TUF final after finishing Bruno Silva, Antonio Branjao and Richardson Moreira in the heavyweight division.
Collier (8-1), who finished four of his five opponents in his current winning streak, won the vacant Resurrection Fighting Alliance middleweight title with a first-round submission over Gabriel Checco on Oct. 10.
UFC Fight Night 58 takes place at the Jose Correa Gymnasium in Barueri, Brazil, on Dec. 20. Here’s the current fight card:
