On Thursday one bout was made official and another was added to the upcoming UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck event. A lightweight bout between Dustin Hazelett (12-6), who drops from 170 for the fight, and Mark Boceck (8-3) was made official. While a welterweight clash is all but set between Matt Riddle (5-1) and TJ Waldburger (13-5).
UFC 124 is set to go down on Dec. 11th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the promotions second trip this year.
Hazelett is probably fighting for his UFC future having dropped two straight bouts. He was stopped by Rick Story by TKO at UFC 117 and Paul Daley by KO at UFC 108. So far Hazelett sports a 5-4 record in the UFC. He had scorred two “Submission of the Night” wins against Tamdan McCrory at UFC 91 and Josh Burkman at the TUF 7 Finale.
Bocek is also coming off a loss, having dropped a unanimous decision to Jim Miller at UFC 111 in March. Before that fight the Canadian had earned three straight wins having submitted Joe Brammer at the TUF 10 Finale, David Bielkheden at UFC 97, and Alvin Robinson at UFC 91.
The Ultimate Fighter 7 alumni, Riddle has earned two straight victories having defeated DaMarques Johnson at this summers UFC Live 2: Jones vs. Matyushenko, and Greg Soto at UFC 111 due to disqualification after an illegal upkick. His only loss was to Nick Osipczak at UFC 105 after the TUF 9 fighter stopped him by TKO in the third round.
Veteran Waldburger, has won four straight fights including his UFC debut against David Mitchell at last months UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Palhares. He earned a unanimous decision over Mitchell in that fight. Before that he earned two of those wins under the Shark Fights promotion banner.
