UFC lightweight contender Bobby Green will be out of action for at least five months due to a torn quad, it was announced this week. On Sunday, Green posted a photo on Facebook of his surgery. And, well, it’s pretty graphic. Scroll down at your own risk.
WARNING: GRAPHIC
Green (23-6) had his eight-fight winning streak snapped by Edson Barboza in November. Before that, Green earned wins over Josh Thomson, Pat Healy, James Krause and Jacob Volkmann in the UFC. He remains ranked among the top 155-pounders in the UFC and was supposed to face Jorge Masvidal at UFC Fight Night: Mendes vs. Lamas on April 4 in Fairfax, Va. Benson Henderson will fill in now that Green, 28, is injured.
