The UFC has added a couple bouts to the upcoming event in Goiania.
Headlined by Thiago Alves vs. Carlos Condit, UFC Fight Night will also feature a flyweight bout between Jussier Formiga and Wilson Reis and a welterweight clash between Wendell Oliveira Marques and T.J. Waldburger. Sources close to the situation confirmed the match-ups to MMAFighting.com following reports by Combate.
Formiga campaigned for a shot at Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo, but gets a bout with former EliteXC champion Reis instead. Formiga (17-3) enters the bout coming off back-to-back wins over Scott Jorgensen and Zach Makovsky, while Reis (19-5) looks for his third straight victory after beating Jorgensen and Joby Sanchez.
Oliveira and Waldburger were initially scheduled to meet at UFC Fight Night 61 in February, but Waldburger fainted moments before the official weigh-ins. Waldburger (16-9) desperately needs a win after going 1-3 in his past four UFC fights, and Oliveira (24-8) goes for his first UFC win following a knockout loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio in his Octagon debut.
UFC Fight Night 67 takes place at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Brazil, and also features Jessica Penne vs. Juliana Lima, Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz and KJ Noons vs. Yan Cabral.
