ONE Championship will crown its first strawweight champion in May.
The promotion announced that Roy Doliguez and Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke will meet for the inaugural 115-pound belt in the co-main event of ONE Championship 27 in Kallang, Singapore, on May 22.
Doliguez (6-1), who fought from 105 to 135 pounds throughout his career, makes his promotional debut after winning four in a row. Doliguez most recently defeated Dennis Salazar, avenging the only loss of his MMA career.
Sor Amnuaysirichoke (4-0) will cut down to 115 pounds after building a perfect record as a flyweight. The Thailand-native made his MMA debut inside the ONE cage last June, scoring four finishes in six months under the promotion’s banner.
Headlined by Shinya Aoki vs. Koji Ando for the lightweight belt, ONE 27 will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
