Uriah Hall will be back in action in 11 days.
Less than a month after a split decision loss to Rafael Natal at UFC 187, the TUF 17 runner-up has agreed to replace injured Derek Brunson and fight Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night 69, which takes place on June 20 in Germany.
The UFC officially announced the change on Tuesday, revealing that Brunson was pulled from the bout with a rib injury.
Recovered from a broken hand that forced him out of a fight in April, Jotko (15-1) returns to the Octagon eight months after a unanimous decision victory over Tor Troeng in Stockholm. The Polish middleweight is 2-1 in the UFC with a win over Bruno Santos.
Hall (10-5), who fought to a close decision with “Sapo” on May 23 in Las Vegas, had his three-fight winning streak snapped at UFC 187. Prior to the loss, the Jamaican fighter defeated Ronald Stallings, Thiago Santos and Chris Leben.
Scheduled for June 20 at Berlin’s 02 World Arena, UFC Fight Night 69 features strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her title against Jessica Penne in the main event.
