When it comes to gnarly toe injuries, Jon JonesUFC 159 masterpiece still takes the cake. But Michael Bisping came away with a weird one of his own at UFC Fight Night 72.

“The skin at the bottom of my toe came off, I think at the end of the first or at some point in the second round,” Bisping said at Saturday’s post-fight press conference. “Just an annoying injury, basically. Every step that I took was painful, but you know, what are you going to do?”

But really. Bisping’s toe. Looks like someone took a cheese shredder to the bottom of his toe and sliced it. pic.twitter.com/0F23J7jweo

It may not have been pretty, but in the end Bisping’s toe bacon mattered little. The 36-year-old persevered to capture a hard-fought split decision over Thales Leites in UFC Fight Night 72’s main event, pushing his newfound win streak to two straight.
