Referee Samio Kimura was knocked out during a bout on Nov. 7th during a Grachan 5 event in Japan. The promotion released this video of the fight.

Fighter Takeo “Cerberus Take” Shiina faced opponent Jung Hyun Lee, knocking him out in the first round and then proceeded to pummel him with hammerfists to the face. Kimura jumped in to stop the attack and was rewarded with a hammerfist to the back of the head and a knee to the face.

Other officials and teammembers quickly jumped in to stop the attack and Shiina received a disqualification for his actions.

It’s interesting to note after reading comments from various sites, that there are a few readers who think the actions of Shiina, and the confrontation with DREAM veteran Won Sik Park, were staged.
