UFC 192 gets deeper by the day.

Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks will meet Tyron Woodley at the Oct. 5 card in Houston. The news was broken on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight.

The 31-year-old Hendricks (17-3) defeated Robbie Lawler for the vacant welterweight belt at UFC 171 in what is widely considered 2014’s Fight of the Year. However, Hendricks lost the belt to Lawler on a split decision at UFC 181. He returned to action at UFC 185, where he beat Matt Brown via unanimous decision.

Woodley (15-3), meanwhile, has won four out of his past five fights, the most recent being a a split decision win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 183. Woodley’s only loss in that stretch was to Rory MacDonald.

The event at Houston’s Toyota Center will be headlined by Daniel Cormier’s UFC light heavyweight title defense against Alexander Gustafsson, and an LHW contenders’ bout between Rashad Evans and Ryan Bader.
