Gerald_HarrisThe UFC middleweight fighter, Gerald Harris (17-2), has been impressing fans with his knockout power, having won two “Knockout of the Night” honors in just three fights with the UFC. His last win, and bonus, was against Dave Branch at UFC 116, when he slammed Branch against the mat knocking him out to earn the KO win in the third round.

In a recent interview with Fighters Only Magazine, Harris talked about training with both Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson before both men met last spring.

Harris wants to get things straight, pointing out that he didn’t help either fighter prepare for the other.

“The whole story behind it is, I could never train with Rashad because in my whole time training with Rampage I was gonna help Rampage fight Rashad. So I told Rashad with all due respect I cant train with you and then mimic you against Rampage, its not fair – because I planned on being a future team mate of Rashad’s.”

“Time went by, Rampage was injured, I got in the UFC, I needed a team and I called Rashad, he brought me out here. And we didn’t train together for his fight against Rampage so if anybody out there is confused I did not help Rampage train for Rashad and I did not help Rashad train for Rampage. So we’re all good – I don’t know about [between] them two, but I am cool with each one of them.”

Harris has won ten straight bouts, including three in the UFC. All three UFC wins came in 2010 and all were by knockout. He earned a KO (slam) win over Branch at UFC 116, a TKO win over Mario Miranda at UFN 21, and a TKO win over John Salter at UFN 20.
