The Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission is looking into the missing seven seconds from this past weekends UFC 123 bout between Gerald Harris vs. Maiquel Falcao.

The controversy stems from the apparent missing seven seconds of the first round. In a video of the first round, a separate clock counts down the fight and the round appears to end at 4:53. At the time, Falcao had a deep rear-naked-choke sunk in on Harris, but was unable to finish the fight before the bell ended the round.

With an extra seven seconds, Falcao would have likely stopped the fight then and there, but endured another two rounds before winning the fight by unanimous decision.

The commission will investigate the matter and take appropriate action if necessary.
