While nothing has been made public about where his next fight will take place, Matt Mitrione does plan to do battle with someone.

Mitrione has filed an official appeal of his January loss to Travis Browne with the Massachusetts Athletic Commission, according to Duane Finley.

The former Ultimate Fighter competitor was poked in the eye numerous times by Browne before the fight was stopped after an onslaught of attacks by “Hapa.”

For Mitrione, who has fought all 14 of his pro fights inside the Octagon, the bout concluded his fight contract with the UFC. He is 9-5 overall, holding wins over Gabriel Gonzaga and Derrick Lewis.
