BJJ Star Mackenzie Dern Confirmed To Make MMA Debut For Legacy FC On 7/22
The MMA debut of one of the best female grapplers in the world is now official.
On Thursday, Legacy FC officials announced the MMA debut of Mackenzie Dern, a black belt in jiu-jitsu under her father, Wellington “Megaton” Dias, as she will make her transition from the grappling world to the fighting world at the promotion’s event scheduled for July 22nd.
“I hope I can represent jiu-jitsu well and put on a good performance,” said Dern of her upcoming MMA debut. “Of course, I will try to be aggressive, but it’s my first fight, so I will still feel everything, see what I have to improve.”
Legacy FC officials have yet to announce an opponent for Dern’s debut.
