Gennady Golokvin “GGG” and Roman Gonzalez, also known as “Chocolatito” are two boxers that are in their own league in the boxing world for being pound for pound fighters and both these guys will be determined to continue with their winning form come Saturday night at the Forum in Inglewood.
The odds might not be the amazing, but backing both these fighters in our opinion is a very safe bet as they are both undefeated, confident and obviously heavily favored to win their respective fights. Gonzalez fought against the formidable Brian Vilora on Oct 17th and it took him an exhausting nine rounds to get the job done. On the other hand, Golokvin was up against David Lemiuex whom he won against by a technical knockout.
It is very hard to see Golokvin’s fighting ending any other way than him winning. When he beat Lemiuex, he was handed the IBF middleweight title and this victory was his 21st consecutive win by knockout. Golokvin’s opponent is now none other than Dominic Wade. Wade is undefeated too and has an immaculate record himself, however, it does not take an expert to tell you that his wins haven’t been as convincing or outright dominant as Golokvin’s. If Wade was to somehow triumph, it would most definitely be the biggest upset of the year in the fighting world.
Gonzalez is scheduled to fight McWilliams Arroyo. Yet again, Gonzalez like Golokvin is expected to win this without too much of a hassle. Arroyo, similar to Wade has an impressive record as well but not good enough to put up a tough fight and actually beat someone like Gonzalez who is flying high at the moment.
A third fight scheduled on Saturday is Nonito Donaire will be taking on Zsolt Bedak in the Philippines. A Nonito Donaire win by unanimous decision would be a solid bet to have for this bout.
