As we noted via Ariel Helwani and MMAFighting.com earlier this week, a new welterweight bout has been added to the upcoming UFC 202 pay-per-view event in August.
Conor McGregor’s friend and teammate, former TUF finalist Artem Lobov will be taking on Nick and Nate Diaz protege’ Chris Avila in a 170-pound undercard bout on the event.
UFC.com confirmed the new match on Saturday afternoon.
Headlined by Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor 2, UFC 202 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
