New UFC female bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes will not require surgery for her injured right hand, according to a report by MMA Fighting.
Nunes, who finished Miesha Tate in the main event of UFC 200, showed off a cast on her hand in a post on social media recently. The Brazilian, though, will not need to go under the knife, her team told the report.

It remains unknown when Nunes will make her first title defense. UFC president Dana White has stated that Ronda Rousey would immediately challenge for the belt upon returning to action, but no time table has been set for that, either.
Former titleholder Holly Holm fights later this month, while Tate is expected to be out for several months due to a broken nose.
