Conor McGregor sat down with media members earlier this week (click here for full video) to discuss his upcoming tilt with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on Aug. 20 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, among other things.

Despite the pressure and expectations that surround McGregor leading into the biggest rematch in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) history, the 28-year-old Irishman took time to address the ongoing situation with UFC, United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), WWE superstar Brock Lesnar and former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones. It wasn’t pretty.

“I don’t give a shit,” said McGregor when asked whether or not Jones and Lesnar should be banned from UFC for life (shown above, courtesy of Fight Hub TV). “You know what? F*ck them both, to be honest. I don’t know the stories, I don’t know the ins and outs, I’ve got my own sh*t to worry about. I was taken from [UFC] 200 for the co-main and the main and then both of them popped for some sh*t. Do what you want. I don’t give a f*ck.”

Harsh words from the sport’s biggest and most recognizable star. McGregor has already thrown shade at Lesnar and the rest of WWE’s roster so it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that he’s backing up his stance here. However it’s fairly surprising to see McGregor bunch Jones in with Lesnar with one explicit response. Jones has been one of the most important ambassadors for mixed martial arts (MMA) over the past half decade and deserves a little more respect than a guy who makes an appearance every five years.
