Russell Doane will step in and take on unbeaten featherweight Mirsad Bektic this Saturday at UFC 204.
Bektic was expected to kickoff the pay-per-view main card vs. Arnold Allen, but an injury sidelined Allen. Officials announced Jimmy Kennedy as a replacement, but he was removed that very same day.
Doane (14-6) enters with an Octagon mark of 2-3 and will be trying to hand Bektic his first loss in 10 professional fights. Bektic has won each of his three UFC bouts.
UFC 204 takes place Saturday from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, as Michael Bisping defends his middleweight title opposite Dan Henderson.
