There’s picking with your heart, and then there’s picking with your head. And Jon Jones is using his smarts to pick the winner in the upcoming rematch between Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, even if it means he has to go with his rival.
The bout — which is set to go down on Dec. 10, 2016 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada — will headline UFC 206 and according to “Bones,” Cormier will hold on to the 205-pound title since he’s a more “complete” fighter than “Rumble.”
He explained why he’s going with “DC” to trump Johnson one more time via Twitter:
If I had to bet I would go with DC, his overall game is more complete https://t.co/PhyhxkzK5c

Indeed, one of the knocks on Johnson has always been that he relies solely on his knockout power to get the job done inside the Octagon. And while KO power is good to have, when facing an athlete like “DC,” it simply isn’t enough to win the strap, says the current title holder.
Cormier initially defeated Johnson at UFC 187 to win the vacant title via submission back in 2015. Cormier and Jones were set to collide at UFC 200 to unify the titles, but after United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA) caught “Bones” pissing hot, that much-anticipated rematch went up in smoke.
