As he starts to both prepare for his expected Octagon return in the gym, while also making sure to follow through with all of the necessary moves on the legal side of things, the word going around is that at the very least, Jon Jones won’t be on the sidelines for the multiple-year sentences initially making the rounds when news became public regarding being pulled from the UFC 200 main event against Daniel Cormier for testing positive on a pre-fight test.

This weekend, “Bones” Jones showed a glimpse of the former (see below), as he showed off the latest from his work inside the gym, returning to the 500 pound mark on the deadlift.

Jones posted the footage on his official Instagram page on Saturday along with a caption that included a joke that poked fun at expected responses referencing steroids in some form or fashion, particularly because of his current status nearly begging for the obviuos connection to be made by the always-clever social media fanbase.

“Felt good to throw up 500 pounds today. It’s been over four months, glad to know I still got it. Didn’t even try maxing out. I figured since I have nothing coming up I would work on my base strength.. Bring on the juice jokes.”
