At the official UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor “Ceremonial Weigh-Ins” before a packed house inside Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday evening, UFC shined a special spotlight on their second of two pay-per-view events scheduled for December.
Immediately after the faceoff between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez ended at the official UFC 205 weigh-ins, Joe Rogan told fans that they weren’t done just yet.
Rogan introduced a brand new preview video that aired, promoting the scheduled UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Amanda Nunes and former champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.
However, things STILL weren’t done just yet.
From there, Rogan introduced the “challenger,” and out come Ronda Rousey, appearing at a live UFC event to promote a fight for the first time since her last fight, her first and to this day, only defeat to Holly Holm over a year ago. Out next came the first-ever female Brazilian champion in UFC history, Amanda Nunes. The two would then square-off for their first official faceoff. Afterwards, Nunes was interviewed by Rogan, however, Rousey was not.
UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey takes place on Saturday, December 30th from Las Vegas, Nevada. Join us here at MMANews.com on 12/30 for live round-by-round results coverage of the pay-per-view.
