Former The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) standout Vicente Luque had a big opportunity to impress on a huge card tonight (Sat., Nov. 12, 2016) at UFC 205 from Madison Square Garden in New York City, N.Y., when he took on former Titan FC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad. In just a matter of 79 seconds, Luque took full advantage of the preliminary spot and locked up another memorable finish.

After Muhammad openly invited Luque inside for a good old fashioned brawl, it was Luque who landed a timely left hook counter that sent “Remember The Name” to the canvas. From there, Luque racked off a few powerful insurance blows to send Muhammad into La La Land and earn the first-round knockout finish.

With this win, Luque has secured his fourth-straight Octagon finish, which immediately puts him in contention to test the Top 15 in 2017. At just 24 years of age, Luque is beginning to show serious promise as he’s settled into the 170-pound class.
