Fight camp is coming to an end and Kurt Holobaugh is ready. Done with his regular 9 to 5 job until after the fight, Holobaugh is focusing on getting in as much mat time as possible. Making the minor adjustments necessary, adjustments that could mean the difference between a victory and a defeat. Even with his fight camp winding down, Kurt makes sure to make time for the kids he trains on an every day basis. Always coaching and building, doing his part to help his team and community. “…I’m trying to teach them everything I can. To get them ready for whatever they want do in life.  It might not even be fighting, or jiu-jitsu, or sports but just in general, ya know? Just trying to give them every bit of knowledge that I can to help them succeed. To do better things when their older. Ya know, if some of my kids lose then im definitely there to help them keep their head up and move on to the next thing.” Fighters like Kurt are the ones that should be recognized and celebrated throughout the sport. The guy who coaches and trains every day. The guy who goes out of his way, even during his fight camp, to make sure he is there to support all of his young athletes. The guy who see’s his team as family.

Listen to the full interview and hear Kurt talk about what it’s like fighting the very best in MMA, his thoughts on UFC 205, and who he thinks “The Notorious” Conor McGregor should fight next. Make sure to watch Kurt fight dangerous Lightweight Yosdenis Cedeno at Titan FC 42 on December 2 in Coral Gables, FL exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
