Woodley offers to step in for GSP, Bisping has ‘no interest in shadow boxing for 25 mins’

Tyron Woodley says Georges St-Pierre is ‘playing games’, and offered to step in for a super-fight with Michael Bisping.

Michael Bisping recently expressed his frustration about Georges St-Pierre still not setting a date for their title bout. The middleweight champion says he isn’t going to wait for a year, and even threatened to give the title shot to someone else instead.

Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley recently saw this as an opportunity to call for a super-fight with Bisping.

“I think that if you make the fight, you say you’re going to fight this individual, July’s a great date, International Fight Week, you take the fight then. I don’t know when this September thing is coming in. I think Georges St-Pierre’s playing games with us,” Woodley said on UFC Tonight (transcribed by Fox Sports). “He didn’t want to fight me. He went up to middleweight, talking about going down to lightweight.

“So Michael Bisping, I stand on that offer, 10 toes down. If you want to get it on July 8, I will be there and I will be ready.”

Bisping replied on twitter shortly after, referencing Woodley’s uneventful and heavily criticized bout with Stephen Thompson.

@UFCTonight @FS1 @TWooodley Tyron, I’ve no interest in shadow boxing for 25 mins against you. I need someone who engages/actually fights 🙂

The two continued the exchange on social media after.

@bisping @UFCTonight @FS1 then don’t dance and play Karate kid like Stevie Wonder. Don’t be scared come catch this fade. Or keep running!
