Matt Mitrione had a message for Donald Trump after knocking out Fedor Emelianenko in Bellator: NYC
Matt Mitrione notched the biggest win of his career at Bellator: NYC. The UFC veteran survived an insane double knockdown and immediately knocked out a PRIDE legend in Fedor Emelianenko.
Shortly after the victory, the UFC veteran took the mic to send a message to Donald Trump.
“Hey President Trump, f—k the Golden State Warriors!” he said. “I’m a real warrior. I’ll come to the White House. I’ll be good and honorable.”
The Golden State Warriors recently won the NBA championship on the backs of 4 all-stars including 2 MVPs. There were initial reports that the team had no interest in accepting any invite to the White House, which had been somewhat of a tradition with each of the champions visiting Obama every year.
Mitrione has now volunteered his services, but he’s a cage fighter who hasn’t won a championship just yet, so I’m not sure how likely that is at this point. But who knows? Trump has strong ties to MMA, and it’s not like this current administration is the easiest to predict either.
It is also interesting to note that Mitrione’s opponent, Fedor, also had nice things to say about Trump just before they fought.
