It’s been a busy couple of days for the Ultimate Fighting Championship as bouts for upcoming events have been coming fast and furious. Two more matches have been added to the promotions first visit to Toronto at UFC 129 with in a light-heavyweight matchup between Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis (8-0) vs. Matt “The Hammer” Hamill (10-2) and a welterweight bout featuring Brian Foster (15-5) vs. Sean Pierson (11-4).

MMAWeekly.com confirmed both of the bouts late Friday night with sources close to both fights.

Davis is undefeated in eight bouts, winning four straight in the UFC. He last appeared in the octagon in November at UFC 123 where he submitted Tim Boetsch with a hammerlock in the second round to win the “Submission of the Night” bonus. Meanwhile his opponent, Hamill, has won five straight and is 6-1 in his last seven fights in the UFC. The season three “TUF” contestant faced his former coach in his last fight, earning a unanimous decision win over Tito Ortiz at UFC 121.

Foster is the winner of two straight and is 3-2 under the UFC banner. He earned a submission win over Matt Brown at UFC 123 and TKO victory over Forrest Petz at UFC Fight Night 22: Marquardt vs. Palhares. The loss was to Chris Lytle who used a knee bar to submit Foster at UFC 110. While his Canadian opponent Pierson has won six straight fights including his UFC debut against Matt Riddle last month at UFC 124. The fight was dubbed by Dana White as the real “Fight of the Night” after fans, who were allowed to choose the “Fight Night” winners via voting for the first time, picked the main event bout for the bonus.

The upcoming Toronto event, UFC 129 looks almost set as ten bouts have been identified for the promotions first trip to Ontario. The show will take place on April 30 at the Rogers Centre and will be headlined by a UFC welterweight title match between Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields.
