Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues to evolve its brand, as the mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion teamed up with AirAsia to launch the first UFC-branded livery on an Airbus A330-300 yesterday (Fri., May 25, 2018) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to a recent UFC press release.
AirAsia is currently a UFC sponsor and will officially present UFC Fight Night 132: ‘Cerrone vs. Edwards’ on June 23 from inside Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
“This exemplary partnership between UFC and AirAsia is a testament to the passion behind these two inspiring brands,” said UFC Vice President, International Marketing Partnerships, Rene Valencia. “Today is a momentous occasion, one that we are very proud of and we look forward as travelers embark on this magnificently branded AirAsia Airbus.”

The launch of the branded AirAsia Airbus A330-300, which is the first of its kind, was also witnessed by UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee, who was in town to promote UFC Singapore. “Motown Phenom” was blown away by the unveiling.
“This is incredible,” said Lee. “Having this aircraft branded UFC is unreal – it’s amazing that AirAsia have taken their sponsorship integration to this level.”
Pretty cool, eh?
UFC Fight Night 132 will be headlined by a welterweight scrap pitting former UFC lightweight title challenger Donald Cerrone against rising contender Leon Edwards. The main card will also feature a light heavyweight clash between veteran Ovince Saint Preux and surging youngster Tyson Pedro.
