CM Punk may have lasted much longer in his second Octagon appearance last night (Sat., June 9, 2018) at UFC 225 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois, but it still ended in defeat.
Punk’s opponent, Mike Jackson, did a lot of damage over the course of three rounds. He picked Punk apart on the feet and toyed with him on the ground by landing hammer fists without even looking. Punk began to stumble around the Octagon in the third round as Jackson peppered him with punches at will, busting up the former WWE star’s face.
In the end, Jackson did what he wanted to and it showed on the scorecards in the form of a lopsided unanimous decision.

With this type of performance, this is most likely the last time we’re going to see CM Punk inside of the Octagon. The experiment proved that there’s levels to mixed martial arts, especially in UFC.
