Charles Oliveira is taking a different approach to his next UFC bout.
Charles Oliveira has a pretty unique approach to his training camp for UFC Sao Paulo this month. As he steps in on relatively short notice and preps to face Christos Giagos, “Do Bronx” is seen sparring with multiple opponents, and doing ground and pound drills while a separate training partner tries to take his back.
Based on the clips below, these look like actual drills that the entire team is doing, instead of Oliveira just goofing around in the gym for social media. According to him, if he can do well against two opponents, he should be more than prepared to face one.
“We’re always putting ourselves in bad situations so we can put on great fights,” Oliveira told MMA Fighting. “If I can do well with someone in my back or brawling two guys at the same time, imagine when it’s only one.”
“This is Chute Boxe-style,” he said. “Chute Boxe is the biggest team in the world and I fear f—ing nothing.”
