UFC vet Sage Northcutt shows off his ‘terminator face’
Sage Northcutt had a bad day on his first bout since leaving the UFC. The 23-year-old prospect took on kickboxing champ Cosmo Alexandre, and after just 29 seconds, the UFC veteran was brutally put out cold with a hard right hand.
Apart from a devastating loss to start his post-UFC career, that one punch also did a lot of damage to Northcutt. As he announced on instagram, Northcutt suffered eight facial fractures, and had to have surgery in Singapore because of it.
“Fresh out of surgery…I had 8 fractures and a nine hour intense operation,” Northcutt wrote, while posting photos of his “Terminator face.”
Northcutt was signed by the UFC in 2015, and has received a significant marketing push from the promotion during his stay. He left the UFC as a free agent in 2015, and was coming off a three-fight winning streak prior to this knockout loss. He went 6-2 in the UFC, and this loss in ONE now drops his overall record to 11-3.
