Longtime mma veteran Dennis “Superman” Hall (42-13-2) has suffered a knee injury while preparing for an appearance later this month at UFC Fight Night 24 (aka UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis) against T.J. Waldburger (13-5).
MMAjunkie.com was the first to learn of the injury, confirming his withdrawal with sources close to the event. No replacement has been determined at this time.
Hallman is on a two fight win streak and is 6-1 in his last seven fights. In that time he has fought at a catchweight of 195 lbs, 185 lbs, and 170 lbs fighting for the UFC, Strikeforce, the IFL, and a March Badness event. In his last fight Hallman faced a returning Karo Parisyan at UFC 123 earning a first round TKO win at the November event. He stopped Ben Saunders by unanimous decision at UFC 117 and was knocked out by John Howard at the “TUF 10″ finale.
Waldburger has won four straight and made his UFC debut in his last fight against David Mitchell at UFC Fight Night 22, earning a unanimous decision. The fighter moves to the UFC after two wins under the Shark Fights promotion, earning victories over Pat Healy and Shannon Ritch.
UFC Fight Night 24 is set to take place on March 26 at the Key Arena in the city of Seattle, Washington. The event is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Antônio Rogério Nogueira and Phil Davis.
