Demetrious JohnsonThe Ultimate Fighting Championship added two more bouts to the upcoming UFC 130: Edgar vs. Maynard 3 event on May 28.

Added to the Las Vegas card are bouts between Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (9-1) vs. Renan Barão (25-1) and Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto (18-4) vs. Chris Cariaso (11-2).

“One of the fastest men in the sport, Demetrious Johnson, and Renan Barao, with an incredible 27 fight unbeaten streak, have both verbally agreed to fight at UFC 130 on May 28th in Las Vegas,” said UFC President Dana White.

UFC 130 is set to take place on May 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Both bouts will certainly take place on the preliminary card, but fans should expect both matches to be broadcast free on television, and/or streamed on the internet.

Johnson made an impressive UFC debut in his last bout by earning a unanimous decision over Yamamoto at UFC 126, winning his third straight match. “Mighty Mouse” made the move over from the WEC, where he went 2-1 earning wins over Damacio Page at WEC 52 and Nick Pace at WEC 51.

This will be Barão’s promotional debut as he caries a twenty-six bout undefeated streak into the octagon which includes six (T)KO victories and twelve submission wins. The Brazilian fought twice under the WEC banner, appearing at the promotions last show at WEC 53 stopping Chris Cariaso with a rear-naked choke submission.

Meanwhile “KID” Yamamoto looks to bounce back from that disappointing loss to Johnson and carries a record of 1-3 into the octagon against Cariaso. The Japanese fighter’s last bout before joining the UFC was a knockout win, the thirteenth of his career, over Federico Lopez at DREAM.14 in May of last year.

Cariaso won a unanimous decision over Will Campuzano in his UFC debut in January on the Fight for the Troops 2 card in Fort Hood, Texas. The victory put him back in the win column after a loss to Barão at WEC 53, putting his WEC record at 1-1. Cariaso has run the full gambit of large promotions by fighting for Strikeforce, the WEC, and now the UFC in his career.
