Jeremy Stephens wants to “run it back” with Yair Rodriguez.

After getting badly poked in the eye and having his UFC Mexico main event stopped in just 15 seconds, Jeremy Stephens took to social media to give a brief update. According to the featherweight slugger, he sustained a “deep scratch” and “deep bruise.”

Stephens, while wearing shades over a heavily bandaged eye, also called for an immediate rematch with Yair Rodriguez.

“Yair, you think I’m faking, bro – you’re the one that poked me in the eye,” he said. “Let’s run it back, four or five weeks, two weeks, whatever. I’ll be ready. Let’s run it back, motherf—ker. Let’s go.”

The UFC Mexico main event was officially declared a no-contest after the eye poke. The fans in the arena then responded by pelting the cage — and the injured Stephens — with trash, bottles, and popcorn.
