Light heavyweight finisher Da Un Jung made the most out of his main card bid earlier this morning (Sat., Dec. 21, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 165 live on ESPN+ from inside Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea, when he finished Mike Rodriguez via knockout (punches) just 64 seconds into the very first round.
This fight did not last that long as Jung utilized his strong striking to put Rodriguez on high alert early. As a few moments passed and Jung was able to further gauge his range he landed a massive right hand that sent shock waves throughout the arena. Rodriguez fell to the canvas and Jung landed three final shots before the referee dragged him off for the stoppage.

With this performance, Jung follows up his debut submission finish over Khadis Ibragimov from back in May with a crushing knockout win over a veteran like Rodriguez. The 31-year-old South Korean contender has now won his last 12 professional fights while finishing 11 of those via knockout or submission, and has seemingly put himself in position to test the light heavyweight top 15 entering the new year.
