Former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler got back into the win column last night (Sat., Dec. 28, 2019) at Bellator 237 live on Paramount Network and DAZN from inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, when he put a stop to late-replacement Sidney Outlaw with a vicious first-round knockout (punchs).

The former champion went to the body early as Outlaw fought with his back along the cage. It didn’t take long for Chandler to soften Outlaw up and time a perfect right hand from the outside. The punch landed flush behind Outlaw’s ear and instantly crumbled the lightweight. Chandler launched one final punch as the referee dove in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Chandler is able to right the ship after suffering a TKO loss to Patricio Freire back in May to lose his Bellator lightweight title. While the 33-year-old veteran has nothing left to prove inside of the Bellator cage he seems as hungry as ever to get his hands on another world title in 2020.
