The light heavyweight knockout artist trained with GSP at Tristar gym.
Johnny Walker recently left his old trainer, talking about a rift between them that involved money problems. The ranked light heavyweight exploded in the scene by scoring three straight first round knockouts as he entered the UFC, but eventually succumbed to Corey Anderson last November.
The wild knockout artist will try to right the ship against Nikita Krylov this March, and he’s working at Tristar Gym under Firas Zahabi to prepare for the contest. Walker also recently got the chance to train with the gym’s biggest star in Georges St-Pierre.
Walker posted a photo gallery along with a quick snippet of him rolling with one of the UFC’s all-time greats. (Scroll through his post to view the photos and video)
In the caption in Portuguese, Walker complimented the former two-division champion’s “humility” and “technique,” saying that “everyday I feel myself evolving like never before.”
St-Pierre himself also took to social media about training with the light heavyweight prospect.
“Had the chance to train with this human specimen today at @tristargym!!!” St-Pierre wrote. “@johnnywalkerufc is an amazingly talented fighter and a great guy!”
