Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 248.
UFC 248 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Sin City, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off in New York with Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who is facetiming with Jan Blachowicz. She then does some media, discussing opponent Weili Zhang. She say that this victory will be bigger than any of her prior combat sports wins. She has a lot of respect for Zhang, somewhat surprisingly. No mind games yet.
Israel Adesanya is with Kai Kara France, checking out the TUF wall. Israel is laughing while taking a picture of him, then discusses watching TUF 1 way back in 2005. Now it’s time to get a workout in. His coach talks about his drive as he breakdances in the cage.
Zhang and her coach walk through the PI and he helps her with her English. “Hat”. “Hand”. She gets fitted for her gloves, and likes them. She does a photo shoot. She again talks about the coronavirus and her heart being with her country. She has #ChinaStrong on her gear. She says still try to knock out Joanna faster than she finished Jessica Andrade.
Polyana Viana introduces herself to Weili. Zhang tries to get Adesanya’s attention, but he has his earbuds in while he is signing posters. After three hellos, he finally notices. That was kind of funny.
Joanna talks to the camera and says she feels great. She tries on her gloves. She did nine interviews the day before, and then flew to Vegas. Neil Magny makes his first appearance, signing some posters. He took some time off, and he said it was good for him. Opponent Li Jingliang is briefly shown as well.
Adesanya does some photos and then talks about opponent Yoel Romero, and how he’s going to scramble when Romero uses his explosiveness. Romero is up next, saying that he’s happy Adesanya took the fight with him. He clowns around a bit, and even does the Conor McGregor walk, which breaks everyone up.
And that’s it! UFC 248 goes down this Saturday in Vegas.
