The action delivered in waves last night (Sat., Mar. 7, 2020) at UFC 248 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as undefeated UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya successfully defended his title against Yoel Romero in a rather lackluster main event (highlights HERE).
Making up for the headliner was a co-main event featuring UFC women’s strawweight champion Weili Zhang and former titleholder Joanna Jedrzejczyk. The two 115-pound fighters went to war for 25 full minutes, unloading everything in their tanks en route to one of the best title fights in Octagon history (highlights HERE). Zhang would eventually come out on top with a split decision win.
In addition to that madness, lightweight veteran Beneil Dariush won his fourth-straight fight with a fabulous one-punch knockout over Drakkar Klose, rising bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley made good on his Octagon return with a flashy TKO finish, and Gerald Meerschaert pulled off a come-from-behind submission win over middleweight Deron Winn.
In order to sift through the action and see which fighters took home an extra $50,000, we take a closer look at the official UFC 248 bonus winners below:
