Promising heavyweight prospect Tom Aspinall delivered the goods earlier tonight (Sat., July 25, 2020) at UFC on ESPN 14 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, when he stopped Octagon veteran Jake Collier via TKO just 45 seconds into the first round. It was the fourth-fastest debut in UFC heavyweight history.
Aspinall took only a few moments to line Collier up before he started to utilize his powerful boxing and long range. After smashing a knee into Collier’s stomach Aspinall landed a beautiful one-two combination that put the heavyweight on the mat. Aspinall launched a few insurance shots but the referee was already stepping in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Aspinall makes good on his UFC debut and shows why he’s one of the most touted heavyweight prospects in the sport today. The towering Englishman will have better competition to handle moving forward, but this was a tremendous start. With this knockout, Aspinall maintains his 100 percent finish rate.
