One of the most important fights in Octagon history will unfold later tonight (Sat., Aug. 15, 2020) at UFC 252 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic meets Daniel Cormier in a trilogy bout for the ages.

If you remember, Cormier became a UFC double champ back at UFC 226 when he moved up with the light heavyweight title and ended up knocking out Miocic in the first round of their heavyweight title fight (see it HERE). Miocic would return the favor at UFC 241 when he stopped “DC” via fourth-round TKO in the rematch (see it HERE). One year later and both heavyweights are ready to close out one of the greatest trilogies in the history of the sport.

In preparation for the final installment later tonight at UFC 252 in “Sin City,” the promotion has released the official open to the PPV main card. As always, the “Cold Open” preview is narrated by actor and avid fight fan Ron Perlman.

The video can be seen in the above player courtesy of UFC.

If that didn’t get your blood pumping then you may secretly originate from a different planet. The fact of the matter is, this is the most important fight in the history of the UFC heavyweight division. It will help decide who is the greatest heavyweight of all time and whether or not Cormier can walk away from the sport as the undisputed champion.

What say you, Maniacs? Will Miocic vs. Cormier 3 live up to the hype? Who will walk away with the trilogy in hand?

Let’s hear it!
