Sean Brady kept the submission train rolling earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 29, 2020) at UFC Vegas 8 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the undefeated welterweight prospect put knockout artist Christian Aguilera to sleep with a powerful second-round guillotine choke.
While Brady could have taken Aguilera down to begin the fight he decided to stand and exchange with the welterweight striker. Aguilera was able to land some good punches along the way, but Brady’s leg kicks and counter hooks ultimately kept him at bay. In Round 2, Brady left nothing to the imagination and secured a takedown in the middle of the cage. He quickly worked his way into full mount and as Aguilera tried to regain positioning Brady was able to lock in the mounted guillotine. Aguilera flopped around like a fish out of water before losing consciousness and forcing the referee’s hand.

With this performance, Brady extends his perfect pro record to 13-0 and finally captures the Octagon finish he’s been looking for. The 27-year-old prospect is now 3-0 in UFC competition and looks ready to test somebody closer to the top 15. After all, Brady already holds a win over welterweight veteran Court McGee in his Octagon debut just 10 months ago.
