Reigning two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes and fellow fighter Nina Ansaroff have announced the birth of their first child, Raegan Ann.

The UFC veterans revealed the news this past Thursday, posting the following messages and photos of their newborn daughter to Instagram:

“Speechless,” Nunes wrote.

“Raegan Ann Nunes is here!” Ansaroff wrote in her own social media post. “I can’t wait to show the world! September 24th 2020 will forever be my favorite day. You are a dream come true. Happy daughters day to my beautiful girl.”

Nunes and Ansaroff first revealed their plan to extend their family back in 2017. The couple waited a few UFC fights before trying for a baby and eventually announced their pregnancy back in March.

Nunes, 32, is coming off her first women’s featherweight title defense back at UFC 250 when she defeated Felicia Spencer via unanimous decision. The victory helped extend Nunes’ current streak to 11 in a row, including eight title fight wins. “Lioness” is currently scheduled to defend her 145-pound title once again opposite Megan Anderson at UFC 256 this December.

Ansaroff, 34, last competed at UFC 238 in 2019, losing to undefeated contender Tatiana Suarez via unanimous decision. Before that, she had had won four fights in a row, including victories over the likes of Claudia Gadelha and Angela Hill. It is unknown at this time when Ansaroff plans on returning to fighting.
