Jason Witt showcased his UFC-level talent earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 31, 2020) at UFC Vegas 12 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, when the wrestler dominated welterweight fighter Cole Williams via second-round submission (arm-triangle choke).
Williams stood no chance in this catchweight affair as Witt secured a takedown straight out of the gate and maintained control for the entire first round. He landed quite a bit of punches, bloodied Williams up, and banked an easy 10-8 frame.
In Round 2, Witt went back to basics and secured another slamming takedown. Williams was too tired to defend any transitions so Witt quickly moved into side control and locked in the fight-ending submission.

With this performance, Witt gets his first UFC win after coming up short against Takashi Sato this past June. That fight was taken on just a day’s notice so it was nice to get a real look at Witt this time around in Vegas. Witt’s wrestling, hand control, and top game were pretty impressive.
