Trevin Giles looked better than ever earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 7, 2020) at UFC Vegas 13 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the middleweight prospect finished Bevon Lewis via third-round TKO (punches).
Lewis’ size was noticeable in the early going of the fight as Giles struggled to get inside. It took a few minutes for the striker to find his rhythm, open up with his jab, tire Lewis down, and eventually take control of the fight.
Early into the third round Giles landed a beautiful one-two along the cage that hurt Lewis bad. Giles followed up with a few punches up top that wobbled Lewis and eventually sent him down for the count. It was pretty surgical.

With this performance, Giles sparks the second win streak of his young UFC career, having defeated James Krause via split decision this past February. Giles looked much better in this fight than the Krause matchup which is always a good sign, but Lewis is not the most technical striker in the division. Giles will have to show even more layers to his game in the coming year as he makes his push towards the middleweight top 15.
